Major Change?

I am seriously second guessing myself! I have been in the medical field for about five years now. I thought it would only make sense to stick with it but I have found that I dread my health courses and I am so much more excited to take courses that have little to do with anything medical. I enjoy my comp class most of all right now and I felt the same about my first comp class also. I actually wish I didn't have to use a medical topic to write my final project. I am really questioning my major now!!!!

Being an online student. Unit3

Being an online student has been great for me. I am a single mom and work full time. My free time is very limited. As an online student I am able to work around my busy schedule to complete all of the necessary work.

When I knew I was ready to go back to school I did a few surveys online to see what online schools were available and which one fit me best. I spoke with an advisor from Phoenix University first. She was very nice and understanding of my situation. We set up a time for a second chat about signing up but she never called me back. I was a little frustrated because I didn't have a number to contact her and I had my hopes up to start as soon as possible.

I went back online and took another survey for schools. Within a few hours I got a call from a man named Bobby. He listened to everything I had to say and he made me feel so good about myself and my decision to go back to school. We talked for about an hour and he told me he would call me again the next day with another person from Kapan's admissions. I was a little worried (because of my first experience) but mostly just overwhelmed with excitement.

The next day Bobby called back. We talked about my goals and plans to make school work for me. He explained Kaplan Online and the layout of the courses. After about three hours of being on the phone with him and admissions I was enrolled and starting classes within a week. I was in such shock because it was so easy to get started.
I have been a student now for almost a year and I cannot wait to graduate! I know without the possibility of an online course I would have not been able to go back to school. I am so thankful for the opportunities Kaplan has made available to me.

Intro

My name is Amy. I am a 24 year old single mom living in Lancaster, PA. I have been throwing around the idea of going back to school since 2005 but until this year I did nothing about it. My main reason for going back is to give my daughter, Hailey, the life she deserves. Growing up my dad had to work really hard to provide for our family. I am so thankful to him and I have learned so much from him. I want to work hard and be proud of what I do but I also want to have as much time as possible to spend enjoying my babygirl!
